Now I have a 1 1/2 hp and I'm happy. I think its 1750 RPM with a 1 to 1 pulley set up, but I'm going to change that to slow it down a bit.

Sep 16, 2019  I have some 72s on order arriving tomorrow. The motor attached now is 2 HP and runs 3400 RPM. I put a 2" drive pulley on it and the grinder has a 4" pulley on it. This should get me down to 1700 RPM on my 10" contact wheel. If anyone with more experience with these grinders sees anything going horribly wrong with this set-up please let me know.
